I started this blog when I was pregnant with our second baby, but then decided to use it as a means to let our extended family know what all was going on in our lives. Now it's my little corner of the internet where I can talk about all of our new adventures from family stuff, to school stuff, to cooking, to whatever. Welcome to Our Little Hill Family!

Movie Room Redo
When we moved into this house, there was a HUGE TV in the basement that would be staying with the house. Ben and I knew it would be a perfect movie room, but we just never really did anything with it other than putting in the seating. It worked out though, because this year for Christmas my mom and Ben's mom were on the same page and each bought us decorations to help make the movie room feel like more of a movie room. Now we have plenty of storage for the crazy amount of DVDs and video games, the posters are just really cute, and the movie decorations give it that extra little flair. Not to mention they hide what is a very oddly placed electrical outlet (who puts those in the upper middle of the wall anyway?). I love how it turned out, and it is so nice for everything to have a place. The kids' movies are low enough that they can pick their own movies and PUT THEM AWAY, and then all of Ben's racing, fighter jets, fast cars, shoot 'em up movies are at the top out of reach. The boys enjoy going down there now more than ever, and it helps Mom be able to get as much peace and quiet as one can with the surround sound blaring some much needed quiet study time. It is so nice to finally, after a year and a half, have one room complete in our home.

EXCITING!!! it looks great and I bet it feels wonderful to have a room done in your home. My Parents always bought homes that they could work on so it was always a nice 2-year process of them "readying" it. They were always SO excited when it was done, I can only imagine. This looks so cozy and great and I love the Footloose poster!
