Super Bowl Bound!!!

November 6th, 2010…Dawson County #1 Six year old football team defeats Rabun County and secures their spot in the super bowl of Park & Rec football!!

   This has been quite a roller coaster season, from playing teams that just infuriate you with their actions to losing to a team of mostly first year players…It has been interesting.  There have been days where we just wanted it to be over, and then there were days like Saturday.  A day where it was freezing cold and all you wanted to do was snuggle deeper in the covers.  A day where excitement filled the air for the hope that we, the predicted underdog, would beat the #2 ranked team and secure our spot in the super bowl…Well we DID IT!!!!!

Our boys and fans (and the other team too of course) braved the cold and came out ready for some football Saturday morning.  We didn’t know what this game would hold; we only knew that we wanted the “W” bad!  And we got it!!  I am so proud of our Dawson County #1 team and can’t wait until we face our opponent, Dawson County #2!, this coming Saturday in what will probably be a fight to the bitter end.  Dawson #2 beat us the first time we played them, but our boys are back for revenge.  We struggled all through last season and didn’t win a single game…We are ready to take it all this year.  So wish us luck and cheer us on come this chilly Saturday morning.  Our boys will once more be on the field looking for that big Win and ready to take home their Super Bowl Champion trophies.  Let’s go Dawson County Tigers #1!
