The weather was finally BEAUTIFUL on Saturday, so we spent as much time outside as we could.
On the “compound”, as my childhood home has been affectionately called, there are several acres of pasture land (plus all of my dad's side of the family, hence the term) which means plenty of open space for a little pellet gun target practice.
Russell is pretty much a dead on shot each time, unless he’s under a little bit of pressure and then he might have trouble hitting the broad side of the barn as they say…He gets that from me.
Brandon though…He’s still working on his aim. He hasn’t quite learned that you actually should look through the scope. He still relies on Papa to line it all up for him.
Even Preston got in on the target practice action. But in his little mind we were shooting squirrels.
And not to be outdone by the little ones, Nana and I took our turns as well. We missed.
But it was a ton of fun to get outside and soak in some sun, and I think all the kids (me included!) enjoyed spending time with Nana and Papa over the weekend.
Hope your weekend was as fun and relaxing as ours!

The family that shoots together...stays together ;) My kinda fun!
oh the day does look beautiful!!! I love the cold/sunny days like that. And what a fun activity you all found. That looks like a little boy's dream day and I wouldn't mind trying some shots as well! PS- that gun is huge! Look at you go!
